Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) is a 3D printing method that builds objects layer by layer using metal wire as the material feedstock.
In WAAM, an electric arc, typically used in welding, is used as a heat source to melt metal wire. As the wire melts, it is deposited layer by layer based on a 3D digital model. The molten metal solidifies quickly upon deposition, forming a solid metal object. This process continues layer by layer until the complete part is fabricated. The method is particularly effective for creating large metal components.
